Connection or Addiction

Human beings are hard-wired to connect, yet connection is often the thing that eludes us. When authentic connection is missing, life feels empty, and often we try to avoid feeling the pain of separation with addiction to food, social media, alcohol, sex, porn, or drugs. Nonviolent Communication provides support to identify our habitual patterns of behaviour, and find other strategies to meet our needs for connection and belonging that cause less pain.
