Couples Coaching

I help you work towards your mutually agreed relationship goals, support you to improve your communication, navigate conflicts and habitual behaviour patterns, build empathy skills, and examine enemy images you may have of eachother. We work to rebuild trust and formulate requests and agreements. I teach essential skills to bring more connection and harmony in your relationship. I always see you separately for a private session before we all meet together. This work is invaluable for couples even when things are going well.

Practice Groups

This is for graduates of any Foundation Training in Nonviolent Communication, including online courses. Together as a group we review the basics, then build on our skills by practicing with eachother via role-plays, games, and fun activities. We hone our empathy skills and develop confidence using our new way of communicating. Re-familiarising ourselves with the principles of Nonviolent Communication, we can develop a deeper understanding of the wider implications of this work in our lives. This is a very powerful support to implementing lasting change, and connecting with others on a similar path.

Individual Coaching

I help you to access your own inner wisdom, to know yourself, be clear about what you need, and be able to ask for it. I support you to establish clear boundaries and attend to self-care. We work on communication, developing an understanding of others, navigating conflicts and life obstacles, honing empathy skills, and overcoming limiting beliefs and behaviour patterns. And I teach you skills to make meaningful change in your life.

workshops

Together as a group (over a weekend, or 5 x 2.5 hour weekly sessions) we explore what it is to be human and how our ideas and beliefs have shaped our experience of the world. We examine the way violence creeps into our thoughts and language causing conflict in our relationships. I reveal the common obstacles to communication, how to navigate conflicts, and understand the motivations and behaviours of others and yourself. Through gaining Empathy skills, you develop the capacity to be less triggered and more calm, to show up in your relationships with more self-responsibility, clarity, compassion, and honesty. Bringing you more ease, self-understanding, confidence, and peace.

Mediation

I help you to navigate a conflict, seeing you separately first to establish boundaries and support you to connect with your needs. We discover any enemy images you may have of each other before we all meet together. In the mediation, we slow it right down, and I guide a supported dialogue between you, making sure that you both get to speak, be heard, and hear each other, and we then formulate requests and agreements.

Restorative Circle Practice

As a follow on from the Restorative Circle Training, we gather in a circle to role-play real-life scenarios brought by the members of the group. We call this a “semi-simulated circle”. It is best if only one member of the group is affected by the conflict. The group members take turns co-facilitating the process, and we allow 1 hour for the circle. In this way each time a different member of the group has an opportunity to practice this role and gain valuable experience asking the questions, holding the space, tracking, and translating dialogue. The role-play practice is followed by half an hour of feedback for the facilitator, and questions.

Covering the format of the RC process, the questions to ask, the guiding principles, and how to set up a restorative system in your community whether that be a family, workplace, group or club. I provide an opportunity to experience all stages of the RC process via role-play.

Empathy Circles

For graduates of any Foundation Training in Nonviolent Communication, including online courses. We gather as a group and sit in circle to hold space for eachother in a safe/respectful/ comfortable/welcoming environment. This is a space of non-judgement, deep listening, presence, and connection. We practice giving and receiving empathy to one person at a time. I am in the circle with you, supporting the dialogue, offering guidance, contributing, witnessing. This is a place where no-one is fixing, sympathising, or advising. We honour eachother’s life experience and acknowledge that each one of us is the expert on ourselves. By holding a dedicated space for eachother, we create a space to be seen and heard, to navigate our own inner landscape, finding solutions and ways forward for ourselves that are uniquely ours. We can also access our own healing by being witness to the healing of others.

Online Practice Groups

For graduates of any Foundation Training in Nonviolent Communication, including online courses. We work with what is alive in the group. Focussing in on a current issue, I will offer coaching to one or more participants, and provide education relevant to the issue raised. It is an opportunity to bring questions that you are grappling with, issues that are unresolved for you, and ask for support. You will see that there are so many similarities between us all, and even though our lives, situations, and responses will be different, we will connect with each other’s stories because as humans, we share the same needs.
