Greeting The Morning

A morning on the Bibbulmun Track in WA

Got up this morning an hour before sunrise and watched dawn slowly unfold. Sipping my ginger lemon tea, sitting in the dark, listening to the birds wake up and sing, watching the sky slowly turn pink. Such beauty. And then realising that this is available to me every day. Rarely do I get up to experience the dawn. So simple, I imagine what it might be like to greet dawn every day with gratitude. To wait in silence and feel the peace followed by awe, spending that time with myself in silence, witnessing nature, being present, I imagine it would be such a gift to myself, a morning ritual, a blessing.
